NFC Product Manager for Apple

As announced this week, Apple hired Benjamin Vigier as a product Manager for NFC and m-commerce solutions. This seems to be a clear indicator for the community, that Apple is extending it strategy to mobile commerce and payment. Benjamin is active in the field of NFC since 2004, driving m-commerce apps such as the mobile Starbucks card, the Paypal app and m-commerce activities at Bouygues Telecom in Paris.
Apple holds already a bunch of patents which include NFC technology. (eg. NFC Resource Sharing)
